Institute of Health and Human Services at Appalachian State University and UNC TEACCH

About

Provides multidisciplinary diagnostic services for the autism spectrum in Watauga and surrounding counties. The evaluation process is designed to describe the nature and extent of strengths and weaknesses in each of the primary areas associated with autism: Language and Communication, Social Skills, and Repetitive Behaviors. The assessment can also describe how these areas interact to affect a person’s quality of life. Other conditions often associated with the autism spectrum will be screened for so that appropriate referrals or recommendations can be made.
