To qualified students, SOAR offers the following services: Study Skills Assessment/ Study Skills Training; Self-Esteem Building; College Adjustment/College Resources; Personality Type Assessment; Learning Style Assessment; Screening for a learning disability. Other services of the program include: Reading, Writing and Math Skills Assistance; Mid-Term Progress Checks; Academic Progress Review; Academic/Personal Growth; Career Counseling Referrals; Transfer Assistance; Assistance for a Disability; Exposure to Cultural Events; Financial Aid Referrals; Referrals to other programs/agencies for help; Tutoring; Lending Library Materials; Use of the N.E.S.T. computer lab/tutorial software.
