Counseling for Faculty and Staff (CFS)

Counseling for Faculty and Staff

Counseling for Faculty and Staff (CFS) provides counseling, consultation, training, and referrals for concerns that impact both your personal and professional lives. Services are provided for faculty, staff, and their immediate families.

Most people come to CFS because they have experienced difficulty in resolving an issue on their own and are looking for additional options or resources. We offer free and confidential counseling, consultation, workshops and training seminars, and guidance for making referrals to colleagues or employees. We also offer consultation and training for managers and supervisors, program directors, and department chairs.

Workshops, Trainings, and Classes

Counseling for Faculty and Staff continues to provide group classes and workshops on an array of issues. Please refer to the University's Workshop Scheduler to view current offerings. If you have thoughts about an offering that might be helpful during this time, please feel free to contact us at

Do I have a problem?

Consultation is free and a great first step of the counseling process. You can call to set up a consultation with a counselor if you feel that you may have a problem. Some people call us because a friend, partner, or colleague suggested they call, and others call because they have tried to resolve an issue on their own without success. Still others may be unsure that they have a problem, but they call anyway to get the chance to simply talk with a counselor.
