High Country Triple Crown

COVID-19 Info for the High Country Triple Crown: As of May 1, 2020, our intent is to proceed with registration for all three races of the Triple Crown and to adopt as safe as possible protocols to protect the health of our runners, spectators, and volunteers.  We will closely adhere to policies put in place by our local and state governments. If any or all of the Triple Crown races need to be canceled for public health reasons, all registrations will be refunded automatically.

The High Country Triple Crown is a well-established mountain running race series developed for the purpose of raising funds for organizations serving kids in Northwest North Carolina. In 2019, Girls on the Run of the High Country and AppKIDS were the recipients of race proceeds.

Now in our 16th year, we invite you to participate in The Cub Seven Miler, The High Country Half Marathon, and The Knob! The three races have been chosen for their unsurpassed beauty, mountain charm and cool running temperatures. The races are unique, challenging and highly fun-- our runners return year after year to be a part of the series. For those who are up for the challenge, we offer the chance to become Winners of the Triple Crown-- runners who complete all three races. Winners receive special awards following the last race in the series, The Knob. The top three male and female runners, in addition to the top three male and female grandmaster (age 50+) runners will receive cash awards totaling more than $1500.
