Employee Wellness is a component of the Appalachian Institute for Health and Wellness and is comprised of Counseling for Faculty and Staff and Health Promotion for Faculty and Staff. Employee Wellness works collaboratively with other units within the institute and across the university to provide programs and services that enhance the health and wellness of App State faculty, staff, retirees, and their immediate family members.

CFS

Counseling for Faculty and Staff provides counseling, consultation, training, and referrals for concerns that impact both your personal and professional lives. Services are provided for faculty, staff, and their immediate families.

CFS also offers workshops for faculty and staff throughout the academic year to support the mental health and well-being of the App State community.

HPFS

Health Promotion for Faculty and Staff is dedicated to providing programs and services designed to promote a healthier lifestyle and enhance the quality of life for our staff, faculty, retirees, and their spouses/domestic partners.

Our comprehensive approach includes major components such as health and fitness facilities and programming, preventative screenings, nutrition counseling, and a range of special services tailored to meet individual needs.

Appalachian Institute for Health and Wellness

The Appalachian Institute for Health and Wellness is dedicated to fostering a healthier and more vibrant community in the North Carolina High Country region. The Institute connects Appalachian State University to the community by supporting health and wellness research, interprofessional clinics, and community outreach programs.
