Community Outreach, Education & Engagement

The Division of Outreach and Education seeks to bridge the gap between Appalachian State University resources and public health needs in the regional community. We integrate core functions of informing, engaging, educating, and empowering our community while also serving to engage students with practical experiences and service learning.

Outreach, education and engagement programming involves strategic planning, community-based research, coalition building, and collaboration with community partners. Projects span the age range, and new ideas and direction are welcomed!
