Noted international speaker and author Ann Palmer, addressed two High Country audiences with compelling stories and insights into the world of Asperger Syndrome.  Speaking to faculty at ASU, Palmer discussed how to integrate college students with Aspergers into the classroom and college social setting.  Following that discussion, Palmer addressed a large crowd of public school teachers at the Watauga High School auditorium.

Audience members were particularly grateful to hear about the challenges of Aspergers from a parent's perspective.  Palmer's 28 year old son successfully navigated college at NC State and has now gone on to a permanent career working for the state of NC.
